Commissioner Zappone Holds Update on Edge Hill/Tyson Plans

Abington and Pennoni Associates representatives give an update on the upcoming PennDOT project

It was standing room only April 12 when over 100 Abington residents packed the Ardsley Community Center as part of a town hall meeting sponsored by Abington Township Commissioner Dennis Zappone. Zappone held the meeting to give residents an update on the PennDOT reconstruction project involving Edge Hill Road and Tyson Avenue. Township officials and engineers from Pennoni Associates, out of Philadelphia, were on hand for the presentation and answered questions about the project status, the potential impact on property and right-of-way plans. There were a few groans when it was proposed that Edge Hill Road would become a one-way road from Jenkintown Road to Bradfield Road and that all driveways in the vicinity of the project would have to …
