Man Spits, Charged with Carrying Gun to the Mall

The man was arrested following an incident with a Willow Grove Park mall security guard.

  A Philadelphia man was arrested late last month after he caused an incident in Willow Grove Park mall and was found to have a gun in his waistband. Aleksey Borisov, 24, of Comly Street, was arrested Dec. 20 shortly after 9 p.m. following a disturbance on the third level of the mall. According to police, a Willow Grove Park mall security guard said he saw Borisov and two other men spit in a public area on mall property and were told to stop. Upon the request to stop, Borisov said several explicit things about the security guard’s mother, and then threatened to physically harm the guard. 'Crazy' Apple Store Opening in Willow Grove

The uber-trendy purveyor of high-tech toys opens up shop in the Willow Grove Park mall.

  Heading to the Gap on the second floor of the Willow Grove Park mall to buy some pants? Well, you may be disappointed to hear that you’ll have to walk to the other side of the mall — or you may elated because you're an Apple fanboy. As promised (written on the walls in the months leading up to the opening), the Apple Store opened its doors Saturday Nov. 17. The 8,300 square-foot store features everything that you’d expect in an Apple Store — all of the products, a sterile feel and a “360-degree Genius Bar” for repairs.   A Philadelphia man was sentenced yesterday following an incident in which he was looking at a woman in a Macy’s fitting room in Willow Grove Park mall in October, according to a report in the Pottstown Mercury. According to the story, Tyrek Zyaire Henly, 21, of Philadelphia, was sentenced in Montgomery County Court to one year of probation and 24 hours of community service after he pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges of defiant trespassing and invasion of privacy in connection with the Oct. 8, 2011, incident at the Macy’s store at the Willow Grove Park mall in Abington. Chase with Putty Knife in Mall Sends Man to Jail

The 21-year old Philadelphia resident pleaded guilty to retaliation against a witness, simple assault and terroristic threats after chasing another man with a putty knife.

  On Aug. 31, 2011, Thorn Alon Davis-Cerdan, 21, of Philadelphia was reported to have chased another man through the Willow Grove Park Mall, weilding a metal putty knife, according to a Times Herald report. The report states that Davis-Cerdan was recently sentenced in Montgomery County court to 11-and-half to 23 months in county jail, followed by three years probation. Davis-Cerdan pleaded guilty to charges of simple assault (witnesses say he knocked over a small child in his pursuit), terroristic threats and retaliation against a witness. Sousa Drops By for Willow Grove's 300th

John Philip Sousa IV, great-grandson of the legendary band leader and composer, makes his first trip to Willow Grove.

There was a vague question being murmured by people sitting in the Willow Grove Park Mall parking lot Sunday night: “Which one is he?” “He” was wearing a pink shirt, a striped tie and a dark blue pinstriped suit. The Willow Grove Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) will hold two events that celebrate both our nation’s military and the Willow Grove Tri-Centennial. Both taking place May 1, the Willow Grove VFW’s Freedom Steps and Loyalty Day Parade have drawn many spectators and participants in the past, and many are anticipating their return. Freedom Steps Freedom Steps is a 5K walk/run event held to help raise awareness and supplies for American troops overseas. DUI and crash … Teresa Sophia Zabierowski, 48, of the 600 block of Cedarbrook Road, Southampton, was arrested March 5 at 4:15 a.m. near the corner of Huntingdon Pike and Cedar Road following a one-vehicle crash, police said. According to police, Zabierowski was found standing next to her vehicle— which was found on top of a “traffic standard.” She smelled of alcohol, had difficulty maintaining balance, and had a blood alcohol content of 0.16 percent, police said.
