A Philadelphia man was arrested late last month after he caused an incident in Willow Grove Park mall and was found to have a gun in his waistband. Aleksey Borisov, 24, of Comly Street, was arrested Dec. 20 shortly after 9 p.m. following a disturbance on the third level of the mall. On Aug. 31, 2011, Thorn Alon Davis-Cerdan, 21, of Philadelphia was reported to have chased another man through the Willow Grove Park Mall, weilding a metal putty knife, according to a Times Herald report. John Philip Sousa IV, great-grandson of the legendary band leader and composer, makes his first trip to Willow Grove.
There was a vague question being murmured by people sitting in the Willow Grove Park Mall parking lot Sunday night: “Which one is he?” “He” was wearing a pink shirt, a striped tie and a dark blue pinstriped suit. The outfit didn’t fit in with the members of the Allentown Band, who were mulling around the tent prior to the 7 p.m. concert time. That's because he wasn't part of the band—but he was kind of the main event. The man, from Farmington, Conn., was making his rounds in the parking lot; it was his first trip to Willow Grove. “They’re telling me stories about how their grandparents met at a Sousa concert —one lady told me she was 8 years old when she came to the first one, and how she still listens to the music and loves it,” John …
