  Retail theft and disorderly conduct … Nataliya Dendyak, 19, of Erica Street, Philadelphia, was arrested April 30 at 12:30 p.m. in Macy’s after she concealed four items in her purse while in a fitting room, police said. According to police, Dendyak damaged some of the items. The total value was $245. Simple assault and possession of a controlled substance … Richard D. Hood, 32, of Osbourne Avenue, Roslyn, was arrested April 28 at 12:27 a.m. at his residence after he slapped someone one face following an argument, police said.   Burglary and criminal trespassing … Monnie Beard, 51, of South 60th Street, Philadelphia, was arrested Feb. 25 after he broke into a doctor’s office on Old York Road on Dec. 27 at 9:53 pm., police said. According to police, an employee at the doctor’s office was working late, went to his car briefly and when he returned, saw Beard rifling through a drawer in the receptionist’s desk. Because chocolate pretzels are tasty

  DUI, possession of a small amount of marijuana and reckless driving … John K. Markman, 50, of the 900 block of Lincoln Woods, Lafayette Hill, was arrested Dec. 3 at 12:08 a.m. following a traffic stop in the corner of North Hills and Spruce avenues after he was seen getting into a vehicle in the 19th Hole Lounge parking lot while visibly intoxicated, police said. According to police, Markman was seen driving in the wrong lane several times. He smelled of alcohol, had glassy eyes and there was a red and black pipe containing confirmed marijuana residue in the cup holder. Police found an additional pipe and a bag of confirmed marijuana in Markman’s pockets. Markman could not perform a field sobriety test due to his level of intoxication, …

Police: Several sewer access panels stolen

  Abington Police said someone stole several storm sewer access panels in the corner of Clearview and Robinson avenues in Willow Grove between Feb. 22 at 6 p.m. and Feb. 23 at 8:50 a.m. — and it’s not the first time this has happened. According to police, a total of eight of these cast iron panels have been stolen; the last theft occurred in late July in the same area. The panels are 12 inches-by-24 inches, 0.75 inches thick, and weigh about 50 pounds. According to police, the panels are likely being sold for their scrap value. In addition to being an obvious safety hazard, police said the theft creates a hardship for the township, as it is difficult to find replacement covers.   Retail theft and disorderly conduct … Tara Swanson, 27, of Somerset Street, Philadelphia, was arrested Jan. 27 at 8:27 p.m. at Sears in Willow Grove Park mall after Sears security saw Swanson conceal a $40 MP3 player and attempt to leave without paying, police said. According to police, Swanson struggled with security and was uncooperative with police. Public drunkenness and disorderly conduct … Matthew Cohen, 21, of Placid Street, Philadelphia, was arrested Jan. 29 at 3:47 a.m. after neighbors complained that three men were being too loud in the corner of Jenkintown Road and Central Avenue, police said. Police Make Arrest in Rydal Park Stabbing

  A Philadelphia woman was arrested today for her role in the Wednesday night stabbing of a Rydal Park retirement community employee in the facility’s parking lot. Shayna McCrae, 18, of Philadelphia, turned herself in to Abington Police at about 2 a.m. Feb. 16, police said. She was arraigned and charged with aggravated assault and related charges. According to police, the victim, a 25-year-old man who works in dining services at the retirement center, was stabbed multiple times in the chest, back and the abdomen following a fight with two men and McCrae at about 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday following the victim’s shift. According to police, Damico refused to leave the area and started cursing at police officers. Damico was also arrested Jan. 2 for public drunkenness. DUI … Kristopher Kenneth McMahon, 33, of the 1800 block of Fleming Avenue, Willow Grove, was arrested Dec. 31 at 7:33 p.m. following a traffic stop for speeding and for swerving into the opposite lane of travel as he drove northbound on Old York Road near the corner of Old York Road and Chester Avenue, police said. According to police, McMahon smelled of alcohol, had bloodshot eyes and failed a field sobriety test.   DUI … Timothy Jenkins, 65, of the 7200 block of Limekiln Pike, Philadelphia, was arrested Nov. 18 at 2:33 a.m. near the corner of Easton Road and Oakdale Avenue after he was seen entering the Keswick Circle the wrong way, police said. According to police, Jenkins continued to drive west in the eastbound lane of Keswick Avenue in a white Mercedes-Benz. Jenkins’ vehicle also had a malfunctioning tail lamp. According to police, Jenkins smelled of alcohol, had glassy eyes and said he had three beers and a mixed drink earlier in the evening.
