UPDATE 2: Missing Abington Woman Located

The woman had been missing since Sunday.

  Update: Late last night, Abington Police announced that the mentally- challenged woman who had been missing since Sunday was located. Son Mi Song, 31, was found, safe, in a treatment facility in Norristown, according to police. Abington Police Deputy Chief John Livingood said this morning that there wasn't a lot more he could add, but said that Song had been in the hands of the treatment facility prior to her mother contacting police. Livingood said that Song had initially given staff at the treatment facility an incorrect name.  Song was last seen at her residence in the 100 block of Old York Road in the Jenkintown section of Abington; she was new to the area, having recently moved to Abington from Maryland. -- See the initial story …

Police: Few Details in Case of Missing Abington Woman

The woman went missing Sunday.

  Abington Police Deputy Chief John Livingood said today that there are few details in the case of a missing woman from the Jenkintown section of Abington. Son Mi Song, a 31-year-old mentally-challenged Korean woman, has been missing since Sunday. Song was last seen at her residence — the Colonade apartment complex in the 100 block of Old York Road. Song had recently moved to the area from Maryland. “The details are few and far between and we’re trying to get more information,” Livingood said.
