UPDATE 2: Missing Abington Woman Located

The woman had been missing since Sunday.

  Update: Late last night, Abington Police announced that the mentally- challenged woman who had been missing since Sunday was located. Son Mi Song, 31, was found, safe, in a treatment facility in Norristown, according to police. Abington Police Deputy Chief John Livingood said this morning that there wasn't a lot more he could add, but said that Song had been in the hands of the treatment facility prior to her mother contacting police. Livingood said that Song had initially given staff at the treatment facility an incorrect name.  Song was last seen at her residence in the 100 block of Old York Road in the Jenkintown section of Abington; she was new to the area, having recently moved to Abington from Maryland. -- See the initial story …

Abington Police Seeking Missing Woman

The 31-year-old has been missing since Sunday.

  Abington Police are looking for Son Mi Song, a 31-year-old mentally-challenged Korean woman who has been missing since Sunday. According to police, Song walked away from 100 Old York Road in the Jenkintown section of Abington. Song is not familiar with the area, as she recently moved to Pennsylvania from Maryland. Song is 5-foot-1, weighs 110 pounds and has black hair. She was last seen wearing black pants and tennis shoes. She is believed to speak some English, but it is unknown how much, police said. Song has no money, purse, phone, credit cards or means of transportation. She may be lost and disoriented.
