Glenside Man Arrested for Assaulting Officer
The suspect was allegedly sifting through Dumpsters in North Hills when he fled from police.
Abington Police arrested Louis Sycz III last month after he was seen crouched behind a Dumpster on the side of the road near the corner of Limekiln Pike and Hamel Avenue, police said. According to police, Sycz had a backpack on and was carrying a large trash bag — it appeared as though he was trying to take items from the Dumpster and conceal them in the bag. According to police, Sycz, 28, of Hamel Avenue, said he had the trash bag so he could clean up leaves at his house, and he said he had clothes in his backpack. Sycz started to run south toward Mt.
