The weekend exhibit at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center included over 60 animatronic dinosaurs.
The Greater Philadelphia Expo Center played host to the "Discover the Dinosaurs" exhibit over the weekend, treating guests to an up-close look at more than 60 animatronic dinosaur displays and various other games and activites. The G-Riders charitable cycling team kicked off their 2013 fundraising campaign at Penguin's Pub on Saturday night.
The G-Riders charitable cycling team kicked off their 2013 fundraising season with a boom on Saturday night, hosting their annual "Cheers Charity" event at Penguin's Pub in Warminster. All benefits from the fundraiser are donated to various local and national charities, including the Irish Pub Daniel Faulkner Fund, the National Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, the Indian Creek Foundation and the American Diabetes Foundation. To date, the team has raised over $70,000 for their respective charities. The Fort Washington School of Rock went "Back to the 80s" on Friday night, treating those in attendance to music by Billy Idol, Journey, Madonna, and other prominent artists from the decade of big hair. About 300 guests participated in the kickoff for the 22nd annual multicultural event, coming April 20 to North Penn High School
While the 22nd annual International Spring Festival brings its multicultural flair to North Penn High School on April 20, the kickoff event Thursday at Christopher Dock Mennonite High School previewed what to expect at the ethnic and cultural celebration in diversity. Planning Committee Co-Chair Tom Meyer told The Reporter that the kickoff event lets sponsors know that the festival is happening again, and lets new sponsors and new volunteers sign on for a chance to be part of the festival. The expo center in Oaks played host to the Greater Philadelphia Pet Expo over the weekend, as visitors were treated to the sights of exotic animals and tables featuring various pet novelties.
