Abington Police Deputy Chief John Livingood said today that there are few details in the case of a missing woman from the Jenkintown section of Abington. Son Mi Song, a 31-year-old mentally-challenged Korean woman, has been missing since Sunday. Song was last seen at her residence — the Colonade apartment complex in the 100 block of Old York Road. Song had recently moved to the area from Maryland. “The details are few and far between and we’re trying to get more information,” Livingood said. In the past several months, the Colonade apartment complex has had about 200 building and fire code violations. It has since whittled the number down to about 20 violations following a hearing Thursday with township officials.
Abington Director of Planning and Code Enforcement Larry Matteo said Thursday afternoon that residents of the Colonade apartment complex, in the corner of Township Line and Old York roads, have been complaining about their living conditions for the past two years. The issues range from heating and hot water problems-to rodent problems-to fire code violations. However, the issues really started to come to light over the past couple of months.
