Alleged Coke Dealer Arrested in North Hills
The Philadelphia resident has a lengthy criminal history.
Abington Police arrested a Philadelphia man last month on felony drug charges in North Hills. Chavez Darryl ‘Swerve’ Brown, 28, of Arlington Street, Philadelphia, was arrested Jan. 5 just before 3 p.m. following a traffic stop near the corner of Spruce and Tennis avenues while he was driving a Dodge Magnum. According to police, Brown was in possession of $615 and a search of the Magnum yielded a knotted plastic bag containing marijuana and four cell phones. A more thorough search at the Abington Police station yielded a plastic knotted bag in Brown’s underwear, which contained 24 small purple Ziploc baggies containing confirmed cocaine, police said.
