Burglary Taskforce Makes Another Arrest

So far, three people have been arrested by a taskforce that includes the Abington and Upper Dublin Police Departments, as well as the Pennsylvania State Police.

  Abington Police announced the arrest of another suspect who they say is involved in a rash of daytime, residential burglaries throughout Montgomery and Delaware counties dating back to December 2011 and continuing through November 2012. According to police, the “ring leader” of the burglaries, Derrick Carter, of the 4600 block of Sheffield Street, Philadelphia, was arrested in November after he was seen committing burglaries in Delaware County and New Castle County, Del. He also tried to strike a Philadelphia Police officer with his vehicle while on a high-speed pursuit.  See the story on Abington Patch here.
