Abington Man Sentenced for Wire, Candy Theft

The defendant has a lengthy arrest history.

  An Abington man was sentenced to 11-and-a-half to 23 months in Montgomery County Prison after pleading guilty to burglary charges following an arrest in Upper Dublin in March. What did he steal? Fifty pounds of wire and about 50 packets of candy. Anthony D. Granieri, 22, of the 1300 block of Grovania Avenue, was sentenced earlier this week for his role in the burglary of Conshohocken Steel on Randolph Avenue in Ambler, according to a report in phillyburbs.com. According to the report, Granieri and a second suspect, Alan Webb, 26, of the 1900 block of Fairview Avenue, Abington, were seen sitting in a car parked on railroad tracks of Church Street; the two were sweaty and breathing heavily.
