Simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment … Jonathan C. Gomez, 26, of Glenloch Street, Philadelphia, was arrested Oct. 15 at 11:27 a.m. following an incident at Sarah Care, an adult day care facility in the 100 block of Washington Lane, in which Gomez punched an employee in the face, police said. According to police, the complainant was transporting clients to the facility in a van and Gomez — a bus driver for First Transit — told him to move the van or he would ram the bus into it. Gomez then exited the bus and said he would “beat the [expletive] out of [the complainant]" and then punched the complainant in the face at least two times with a closed fist. Receiving stolen property, theft and fleeing and eluding police … Thomas Walton Coffee, 22, of Lukens Avenue, Willow Grove, was arrested Oct. 5 at 5:31 p.m. in the 1600 block of Franklin Avenue after police saw a green Kawasaki dirt bike driving northbound on Reservoir Avenue near Rubicam Avenue without having registration or lighting, police said. When police attempted to stop the dirt bike, it accelerated and turned into a grass field at Crestmont Park. According to police, another police officer saw the dirt bike heading southbound on Easton Road a short time later. Abington Police said a Philadelphia woman stole thousands from a Willow Grove home.
A warrant was issued Oct. 4 for a Philadelphia woman who Abington Police say stole thousands of dollars worth of jewelry from a home in Willow Grove. According to police, Shakeya Major, 27, of Hartville Street, Philadelphia, was providing home health care services through Abramson Home Care for a family in the 2800 block of Carnation Avenue between November and April. The complainant reported in July that several pieces of her husband’s jewelry were missing — totaling $9,750. According to the affidavit, police obtained a list of home health care workers that were working at the complainant’s house and Major was one of three. Police then checked slips at local pawn shops. Robbery, burglary and carrying a firearm without a license … Sean Michael Egan, 27, of Garfield Avenue, Glenside, was arrested Sept. 8 after he made contact with the owner of a house in the 700 block of Hamel Avenue, forced himself into the house and ransacked a bedroom, stealing a Smith and Wesson 9mm handgun, police said. According to police, Egan said he took the gun as collateral for something that was owed to him by the victim. An Abington man was sentenced this week for his role in stealing thousands of dollars’ worth of scrap metal in Abington and Hatboro.
Quinten Watts, 23, of Prospect Avenue, Willow Grove, was sentenced to three to 12 months in jail and two years’ worth of probation after he and Dane Edward Sarden, 22, of Fairview Avenue, Willow Grove, allegedly stole metal from three different locations, according to a phillyburbs.com story. According to the story, Hatboro police arrested Watts and Sarden on Jan. 6 as they were preparing to sell metal pieces they had allegedly stolen earlier that morning from Dudlik Industries in the 300 block of Jacksonville Road to a scrap metal dealer. Reckless endangerment … On Sept. 12 at 4:10 p.m. officers responded to Montgomery County Community College for a report that someone was trying to sell four stolen textbooks to the bookstore. Andrew Choma, 28, of the 200 block of Runner Street, Jenkintown, became nervous and ran to a silver Hyundai and almost struck the MCCC Security vehicle while fleeing in his car. He was located driving north on Butler Pike, stopped by an Ambler police officer, and taken into custody. Three additional textbooks were located in his vehicle bringing the value of the stolen books to $1,484. He was charged with two counts of recklessly endangering another person, theft and receiving stolen property. Choma was arraigned by District Justice Borek and bail …
