  Retail theft … Atticus Weaver, 20, of Guernsey Avenue, Abington, was arrested Nov. 8 at 5:30 p.m. at Giant on Susquehanna Road after a Giant loss prevention officer saw Weaver conceal three boxes of cough syrup, worth a total of $12, in his jacket, police said. He was also arrested in August for stealing a bottle of cough syrup from the same store. According to police, Weaver has one prior conviction for retail theft. A vodka-induced left turn onto Houston and some retail thefts

  Retail theft … Appaula Vent Jackson, 20, of Venango Street, Philadelphia, was arrested Nov. 6 at 7:10 p.m. after he had been stealing from Kmart, his place of employment, for the past several weeks, police said. The store’s loss prevention manager said that on Nov. 6, he found six Nintendo DS systems in Jackson’s bag in the back room of the store. When confronted, Jackson provided a written statement admitting to attempting to take the systems, which were worth a total of $1,200. Jackson also said that he stole an Xbox 360 Halo 4 edition worth $350 from the stock room.  Retail theft … Tonya N.   Simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment … Jonathan C. Gomez, 26, of Glenloch Street, Philadelphia, was arrested Oct. 15 at 11:27 a.m. following an incident at Sarah Care, an adult day care facility in the 100 block of Washington Lane, in which Gomez punched an employee in the face, police said. According to police, the complainant was transporting clients to the facility in a van and Gomez — a bus driver for First Transit — told him to move the van or he would ram the bus into it. Gomez then exited the bus and said he would “beat the [expletive] out of [the complainant]" and then punched the complainant in the face at least two times with a closed fist.   Robbery …  An arrest warrant was issued Oct. 9 for Christopher Andr French, 22, of Township Line Road, Elkins Park, after he arranged to meet with an acquaintance to buy a black Dell laptop computer on Oct. 9 at 5:13 p.m. at the A Plus gas station in the 200 block of Township Line Road, police said. According to police, French met with the complainant, ripped the laptop out of the complainant’s hands and fled in a silver car driven by another man.   Receiving stolen property, theft and fleeing and eluding police … Thomas Walton Coffee, 22, of Lukens Avenue, Willow Grove, was arrested Oct. 5 at 5:31 p.m. in the 1600 block of Franklin Avenue after police saw a green Kawasaki dirt bike driving northbound on Reservoir Avenue near Rubicam Avenue without having registration or lighting, police said. When police attempted to stop the dirt bike, it accelerated and turned into a grass field at Crestmont Park. According to police, another police officer saw the dirt bike heading southbound on Easton Road a short time later. According to police, Patino had an outstanding warrant for a “dangerous drug offense” out of Union County and was detained.   DUI and possession of a small amount of marijuana … Martin S. Mattox, 29, of Penn Avenue, Glenside, was arrested Sept. 1 at 11:15 a.m. after he was seen driving a Chevy pickup truck on Easton Road near Pershing Avenue while pulling a large landscape trailer, police said. It was known that Mattox had an outstanding warrant in Montgomery County. During the stop, Mattox was nervous and had glassy eyes.   Robbery, burglary and carrying a firearm without a license … Sean Michael Egan, 27, of Garfield Avenue, Glenside, was arrested Sept. 8 after he made contact with the owner of a house in the 700 block of Hamel Avenue, forced himself into the house and ransacked a bedroom, stealing a Smith and Wesson 9mm handgun, police said. According to police, Egan said he took the gun as collateral for something that was owed to him by the victim. Egan had the gun’s magazine and bullets in his possession, when he was questioned by police, but he said he gave the gun to his brother to “hold.” Police found the gun in a shed in the rear yard of Egan’s house, wrapped in the same West Chester University T-shirt he was wearing when he forced himself into the…

  Criminal mischief … A warrant was issued Sept. 2 for Angelina Marcucci, 19, of Fairview Avenue, Willow Grove, after she caused damage to a door and to a Ford Ranger pickup truck belonging to a resident of the 1800 block of Fairview Avenue, police said. According to police, the complainant said Marcucci dented both items between 11 a.m. and 1:35 p.m. on Sept. 2; Marcucci sent text messages to the complainant admitting that she caused the damage, which totaled $1,500. Stolen textbooks at MCCC, stolen rings and some honest DUI defendants

  Reckless endangerment … On Sept. 12 at 4:10 p.m. officers responded to Montgomery County Community College for a report that someone was trying to sell four stolen textbooks to the bookstore. Andrew Choma, 28, of the 200 block of Runner Street, Jenkintown, became nervous and ran to a silver Hyundai and almost struck the MCCC Security vehicle while fleeing in his car. He was located driving north on Butler Pike, stopped by an Ambler police officer, and taken into custody. Three additional textbooks were located in his vehicle bringing the value of the stolen books to $1,484. He was charged with two counts of recklessly endangering another person, theft and receiving stolen property. Choma was arraigned by District Justice Borek and bail …
