Dean Defeats Mattiacci

It’s now Abington Commissioner and State Representative-elect Madeleine Dean.

  It was a lively scene at Abington Commissioner Madeleine Dean’s house after the polls closed last night. She called it a “cast party.” Area Democrats gathered to celebrate her victory over Republican Nick Mattiacci in the special election for the unexpired term of former State Representative, now Montgomery County Commissioner, Josh Shapiro. Mattiacci conceded at 9:30 p.m. at the North Penn VFW. The term is up for election in November; both Dean and Mattiacci will likely throw their respective hats into the ring for the rematch.  To see video, click on the video section here. Elayne, I have watched all of these videos, and I have consistently noted the fact that the interviewer is highly solicitous...to candidates on both sides of the aisle. The real problem is that the opponent of Dennis has not been interviewed, for this would be the optimal way to achieve balance.
