Glenside's Maddy Evans Is Beantown Bound

Evans to join the new National Women's Soccer League in its first professional season.

Abington High School graduate Maddy Evans was an all-star on the Penn State University's women's soccer team. As one of the team's midfielders, Evans led the Lady Lions to their first national championship in the NCAA. Though they suffered a loss, the Nittany Lions were proud of their midfielder. "One of the best and most hard-working players in the country," said the Lady Lions Head Soccer Coach Erica Walsh of Evans. "We anticipate her helping us in the midfield, but she can play anywhere on the field and will be an amazing asset to our group." Profile: Food Photog from Abington

Felicia Perretti, an Abington graduate, runs her own food photography business and recently shot photos for 'The Boston Globe.'

  Felicia Perretti, a 2006 Abington Senior High School and Eastern Center for Arts and Technology graduate, is currently the staff photographer for QVC. She also owns and operates her own food photography business based out of Philadelphia, Perretti Photography (perrettiphotography.com). Currently, her food photography is on the cover of the Boston Globe accompanying an article titled, The Fickle Food Shopper. After graduation from Eastern and Abington Senior High School, Perretti continued her photography education at the Art Institute of Philadelphia. Eastern Student Spotlight —Corrine Koelle

The Abington High School graduate is almost done her degree at the prestigious Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts.

  Abington High School graduate and Eastern Center for Arts and Technology 2009 commercial art student Corrine Koelle is currently completing her bachelor’s degree in graphic design at Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts.  VCU’s graphic design program in currently ranked as fourth in the country … and the art school is ranked as number one in the country. In August, Koelle will begin her fourth year. While in school, Koelle works as a freelance graphic designer.
