Abington Schools Receive Keystone Achievement Awards

  The Abington School Board honored Highland, McKinley, Overlook, Roslyn, Rydal and Willow Hill elementary schools at its Jan. 22 meeting. The schools met their Adequate Yearly Progress targets for two consecutive years for 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 and have been awarded Pennsylvania Department of Education Keystone Achievement Awards.

Abington School Board: PSSA, AYP Update

The Abington School Board will meet at 7:30 p.m.

  According to the Abington School Board draft agenda, school officials will provide an update on how students in the district fared in the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA) tests. They will also provide an update on Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP). For more information and data on the PSSA and AYP, visit the state’s website here.
