To the Editor: I would like to encourage my fellow senior citizens, especially those with grandchildren, to vote for Madeleine Dean in the Special Election on April 24 to fill Josh Shapiro’s State Representative seat. I am a proud Independent, and I am equally proud to have Miss Dean as my Ward 7 Commissioner. Maybe she hasn’t been Commissioner for very long, but I’ve seen her do more in her first hundred days than I’ve seen the entire Board of Commissioners do in a year. Anyone who can tackle the mess at the Colonade Apartments, as Miss Dean has done, can tackle the mess in Harrisburg. In addition, I am very appreciative of how she has kept me informed of important local matters through her clear and timely emails. This communication is …
