Schwartz Wins Fifth Term in 13th Congressional District
The former Pennsylvania State senator unofficially beat Republican challenger Joe Rooney
Update 12:05 a.m. Wednesday Incumbent Democratic Congresswoman Allyson Schwartz has unofficially won re-election as U.S. Representative in the 13th Congressional District in Pennsylvania. The former state senator garnered 113,268 unofficial votes in Montgomery County alone versus Rooney's 59,369 unofficial votes, according to county records. She initially won election to her post in 2004, fulfilling Joe Hoeffel's seat. She was challenged unsuccessfully in prior elections by Melissa Brown, "The Apprentice 2" competitor Raj Bhakta, Marina Kats and Dee Adcock.
