As a very proud, and often very public, Penn State alumna, many are asking me this week what I think of the allegations that surround the charges against former assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky. I’ll start by explaining what I know. While I will try to link you to facts so that you may draw your own conclusions, the purpose of this opinion article is simply that: to tell you my opinions. JD59, I understand your point of view, but I disagree with you on a few points. First, criticizing Penn State and all university officials who were aware of these crimes yet did not notify authorities is hardly a lynch mob. Just the opposite, most media and commentators are not calling for Paterno to be charged with any crime. Based on the information available, it looks like he should have done … more ›
