When taxes are imposed on various industries then to stay in business the prices increase on theRead More consumer! Obamacare , gas taxes, payroll taxes, tolls, the proposed soda and candy tax , your tobacco tax is 75% of what the product really costs! Commercial Property tax increases! Do you people see what's going on here? This country is being destroyed by the Democrats! It is starting to resemble The a Soviet Union! We should change the name of this country to the USSA!

Mark, Your words are absolutely disgusting. Please do not use this comment thread as a vehicle toRead More spew your racist mentality. And for your information, food-borne illnesses come from agriculture, period. All around the world, including in the U.S. Lastly, your hatred for people of colour does not mean that you understand disease, at all. Good luck in life.

Yes but capitalism does not work that way, governments do not decide what/where businesses go (atRead More least not yet anyway, give them time...) BTW we have 2 here in Lansdale lol!

I don' t have an issue with PECO, it's PGW who's the thief.
John DiPrimio March 13, 2014 at 05:12 pm
why would you begrudge a poor family like the Roberts from earning a living? If they can buy theRead More water co, and gas co. just think how simple they will make our lives, just paying one bill for everything, and they can send out the same inept service tech to handle all the repairs, between 8 & 12 or 12 & 5. There ought to be a law.
Margaret French March 14, 2014 at 11:18 am
I dropped them YEARS ago when they only had cable. As soon as some other option was available I gotRead More the competitor. No way would I ever get Comcast and I know a lot of folks who switched from the to Verizon like I did. Like someone else said, if they were the last place to supply electric I would buy solar panels.

Wait, you're telling me that they're making many millions of dollars and that they simply made a bitRead More less last month? They still made a profit! Tell you what, report something when they start LOSING money, which will never happen, right? I find it difficult to worry about this since the money doesn't appear to be filtering back to any of the citizens, is it??
dwayne roberson March 7, 2014 at 05:40 pm
PA's new gas tax will have us next to California as the highest. Food, fuel, everything will costRead More more. Owebamacare taxes falling in line, higher insurance costs, inflation,.... people will have less and less. Slots were a good investment? Really? People need jobs, not slot machines when they don't have any freakin money! How do casinos function in socialist states? I guess we'll see.
Capt. Obvious March 10, 2014 at 12:39 pm
probably just starting the "poor us" publicity so that next year they can file bankruptcyRead More and screw everyone they owe, Trump style, and then come back with a new name a few months later and start over debt free.

Francis Soyer: Point of information if you will. When one is going to install the new LED light bulbRead More which would be the preferred choice? The MiracleLED Un-Edison 60W Equivalent Frost or the Samsung A19 60-Watt Warm White. From the knowlege you demonstrated above I thought I would ask an expert.
Francis Soyer January 30, 2014 at 10:27 am
Vincent - Honestly I'm not too familiar with either product. Neither is an "industryRead More standard" name brand. Samsung is obviously know for their electronics, I don't know if they are actually manufacturing their LED's or using somebody else's, but Samsung generally has good products. MiracleLED, unknown??? However I did a quick search on both. Samsung: 10.8 watts, 810 lumens, 27,000k, 15,000 hrs, 130 degree beam angle. MiracleLED: 5 watts, 500 lumens, 27,000k, 30,000 hrs, they claim "360 degree lighting" but do not list an actual beam angle, but it would certainly be much greater then the 130 on the Samsung. I would look at application first. Can you see the bulb in the fixture you are putting it in? If so the Samsung's heat sink is very visible and if it were in a glass fixture that I could clearly see the bulb I wouldn't want to see the Samsung bulb, I would pick the MiracleLED even though just by first appearance the Samsung looks like it is made better. I think the only application I would use the Samsung would be in a can light as the light output is more directional especially if I needed more light as the Samsung puts out 60% more light. Both seem to be priced at about $16 each. The more recognized LED name brands are Cree & Nochia, also, GE, Phillips & Sylvania make them as well. I like the "Cree 60W equivalent soft white (2700K) A19 dimmable LED light bulb", sold at Home Depot & Lowes.
