My daughter was learning to play the piano, and my son the violin from a lovely and talented couple in NE Philly. Sadly, they moved out of our area and we were searching for new instructors. A friend recommended LMA and we gave it a try. My kids now attend classes at the Elkins Park location for almost 2 years now and they've shown a marked improvement in their skills. The instructors are all either retired or current professional musicians and really know how to teach! The folks at LMA do not just teach "how to play an instrument", rather they teach you "how to become a musician". It would be difficult indeed to find a place where you would do better, especially for their very reasonable prices!
