Jenkintown's 'Breathing Room’ to Hold Tailgate Party for Volunteers in Conshy

The Breathing Room Foundation, a Montgomery County-based nonprofit that provides care and support to local families affected by cancer, will hold a tailgate party for new and current Breathing Room Foundation volunteers on Sunday at Great American Pub at 123 Fayette St. in Conshohocken.

The event coincides with the Eagles-Raiders game and starts at 3 p.m. and runs to 8 p.m.

The Breathing Room Foundation will have people on hand to explain volunteer opportunities within the organization.

In 2014 the BRF will expand its programs in Delaware County.  The recruitment of new volunteers is essential to carry out its vision of bringing cancer support services to a larger population.

Last year, Breathing Room volunteers helped 450 families in the Delaware Valley. Services included transportation for treatment, companionship, home maintenance, shopping and sorting for the foundation’s Thanksgiving and holiday programs and delivering items to our families.
