The Montgomery County Commissioners will light the county tree, menorah and kinara, for Christmas, Hanukah and Kwanzaa, respectively, on Monday.
Staff members of the Montgomery County Correctional Facility, the Public Property Division of the Department of Assets and Infrastructure and the commissioners’ office visited the tree that will serve as the county Christmas tree; it was harvested Friday from the Correctional Facility property.
The brief ceremony happens at 5 p.m. on the plaza level of the courthouse, overlooking Main Street in Norristown.
