Committee Meetings, An Open House and Christmas Events, This Week in Abington

Check out a few things happening this week in Abington.

The Abington Public Works and Code Enforcement committees will meet Monday, Dec. 2 beginning at 7:30 p.m.; the public safety and public affairs committees will meet Wednesday, Dec. 4 beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Queen of Angels Regional Catholic School will hold an open house Wednesday, Dec. 4 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. The presentation will start in the lower school located next to St. David Rectory at 314 North Easton Road, Willow Grove. The second annual Christmas in Keswick Village will be held in conjunction with First Friday. The event starts at 6 p.m. on Friday and will include free trolley rides from 6 to 9 p.m. in front of Susquehanna Bank, musical entertainment from the Abington Senior High School Chorus and the Bucks County Country Gentlemen barbershop quartet. Santa will also make an appearance by fire truck at 7:15 p.m. For more information, visit www.keswickvillage.org

The second annual Ardsley Tree Lighting ceremony will take place Saturday, Dec. 7 in the 1000 block of Maple Avenue at 7 p.m. Santa Claus will be on hand as well as carolers from the Abington Presbyterian Choir. For more information, contact Abington Commissioner Dennis Zappone at 215-887-0224.
