Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and the Budget, This Week

Check out a few events happening this week in Abington.

The Abington Art Center’s Annual Juried Show will be on display through Jan. 26. More than 60 works by regional artists are represented. This year’s juror is Ross L. Mitchell, Executive Director, Violette de Mazia Foundation. According to the Abington Art Center website, the Philadelphia Inquirer says the “Annual Juried Show is refreshingly different from most group shows…and quality abounds.”

The Abington Township Board of Commissioners will hold the final meeting for the 2014 budget on Thursday, Dec. 19 at 8 p.m. at the township building. Check out the proposed budget on the township’s website here.

On Wednesday, Dec. 18, the Beaver Hill Forum will present ‘The Marx Brothers and Their Music.’ The event starts at 7:30 p.m. in the Beaver Hill Condos Social Room, 309 Florence Ave., Jenkintown. The event is free, but donations are welcome. For more information email: hartmanr1@verizon.net
