McCoy arrives at Abington after spending the past six years as the assistant athletic director at St. Mary’s College of Maryland, where he directed all aspects of the athletic program, including: scheduling and contracts, transportations, equipment facilities, sports information, compliance, game operations and event operations for all 17 Division III men’s and women’s teams. Additionally, McCoy served as the on-site event manager for all of the Seahawks’ home varsity events and championships.

McCoy arrived at St. Mary’s College in August 2001 as its sports information director for six years before being promoted to the assistant athletic director in 2008. In addition to his duties at St. Mary’s, he also served as the assistant commissioner for communications for the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) from 2006 to 2008.

Prior to his appointment with St. Mary's, McCoy served as the director of conference information for the Division II Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).  He was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the conference's information office, including maintenance and development of the GLIAC website.

In 1999, McCoy served as the media relations director for the NCAA Division II Volleyball National Championship, which was hosted by the GLIAC in Battle Creek, Mich.  While with the GLIAC, he also freelanced statistical services for the University of Detroit Mercy.

McCoy was employed in the sports information office at Wayne State University in Detroit for just over two years before joining the GLIAC.

The Evart, Michigan native is a 1998 graduate of Central Michigan University with a bachelor’s in economics and a minor in sports studies. He is currently pursuing his master's degree in sports management from Southern New Hampshire University.
