Of note, the school board has an agenda item to authorize the administration to submit a Self-Certification Application for Non-Reimbursable Construction Projects to the Department of Education for several projects, including:

- Bituminous paving at the bus garage, McKinley and Copper Beech elementary schools
- Gym floor replacement at the junior high school
- Carpet and floor tile replacement at McKinley and Rydal East elementary schools
- and structural concrete and retaining wall repairs at the junior and senior high schools
According to the agenda, the district needs authorization of the Pennsylvania Department of Education to proceed with facilities modifications that exceed $15,000.
