Abington's Most Expensive House on the Market

This Canterbury Road home might make you feel like the 'queen of your castle.'

It is a five-bedroom, four-bathroom house, but it feels a lot more like a castle. Properly located on "Canterbury Road," the property in Abington is currently the priciest on the market, but was recently reduced in cost.

According to AOL Real Estate, the house at 1952 Canterbury Road, Abington is currently up for sale at $599,999. Located on 0.93 acres, the house encompasses 4,328 total square feet of space.

Zillow.com says the home's price was recently dropped by $50,000. It was last sold in 1998 for $325,000 according to the site. 

AOL Real Estate has the 2012 taxes for the home at $11,405. They say it has a history all of its own.

"Built in 1926 by a Norwegian Sea Captain, the home has been updated with care to maintain its original character," said Mary Ann Hector, of Prudential Fox and Roach, the listing agent on the home. "The grand traditional living room is reminiscent of the captains former sea life, built with the walls intentionally bowed outward as a ships walls would look."
