Pa. House Race, 153rd District - Dean Versus Mattiacci Versus Krawchuk

Recently elected to fill Montgomery County Commissioner Josh Shapiro's vacated legislative seat, Madeleine Dean will face Nick Mattiacci, her 2012 Special Election opponent, and Libertarian Ken Krawchuk



A closer took at the state representative race in the 153rd Legislative District, which encompasses most of Abington and part of Upper Dublin Township

According to the League of Women Voters, the annual salary is a shade over $82,000; the term for State Rep. is two years.

About Madeleine Dean:
Madeleine Dean was a full-time lawyer and assistant professor of English at La Salle University until being elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives last year. She was also an Abington Township Commissioner. Dean attended La Salle University and Widener University School of Law.

About Nick Mattiacci:
Nick was born and raised in the Rydal section of Abington, and has been practicing law in Philadelphia for five years. He attended Temple Beasley School of Law and Widener University School of Law. He attained his undergraduate degree at Temple University

About Kenneth Krawchuk: 

According to the League of Women Voters, Krawchuk attained a degree in physics from St. Joseph’s University. He is an information technology entrepreneur and an author. Krawchuk was a candidate for Governor of Pennsylvania in 1998 and 2002.
