Willow Grove Fire on York Road, One Victim

Early reports indicate a resident of Willow Lake was flown by helicopter to Temple.

UPDATE 7:15 p.m.: According to reports from ABC6, the fire has been placed under control.

"Initial reports indicate that fire was coming from one of the units in the building," said ABC's report. "The cause remains under investigation."

Willow Grove Fire Company was dispatched at 5:43 p.m. Friday night for reports of a fire at a residential structure along York Road, according to Montgomery County's Department of Public Safety Web CAD system.

The fire is reportedly at York and Lakevue roads at 1120 York Road, Willow Grove.

Breaking News Network reported at 6:06 p.m. indicated that the location is a retirement home and that one victim was reported with burn injuries. The extent of the patient's injuries was unknown.

Senior Housing Net, website for senior housing, said the residence is called Willow Lake.

A later report noted that a helicopter was called in and took the patient to Temple Hospital in Philadelphia.
