.

A Philadelphia woman was arrested today for her role in the Wednesday night stabbing of a Rydal Park retirement community employee in the facility’s parking lot.

Shayna McCrae, 18, of Philadelphia, turned herself in to Abington Police at about 2 a.m. Feb. 16, police said. She was arraigned and charged with aggravated assault and related charges.

According to police, the victim, a 25-year-old man who works in dining services at the retirement center, was stabbed multiple times in the chest, back and the abdomen following a fight with two men and McCrae at about 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday following the victim’s shift.

The Second Alarmers transported the victim to Abington Memorial Hospital, where he remains. The incident stemmed from a work dispute, police said.

The stabbing was confined to the parking lot; no residents, visitors or employees were injured, according to police.

McCrae was arraigned in front of District Justice Juanita Price. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 27. McCrae remains in police custody and the investigation continues.
