Shots Fired at Jerzee’s, Police Say

An Abington man allegedly had two handguns, and fired shots late Sunday night.

An Abington man was arrested late Sunday night after he allegedly fired several shots from a handgun while standing outside of Jerzee’s Sports Bar and Grill in the 2600 block of Mount Carmel Avenue.

According to police, witnesses said Bradley Driscoll, 29, of Abington, fired shots from a handgun at about 11:20 p.m.; one of them struck a pickup truck, which was occupied and just leaving the bar.

Police said a bar employee and bar patrons wrestled the gun away from Driscoll, who then ran on foot toward Penbryn Park; he was later located in the park and taken into custody without incident. Driscoll also had a second handgun in an ankle holster, police said.

No one was injured.

According to police, Driscoll has a permit to carry a concealed weapon, which was issued by Utah. Driscoll does not appear to have a criminal history.

Driscoll is being detained at Abington Police headquarters and is awaiting arraignment; he is being charged with reckless endangerment and aggravated assault.

That is a shady area back there its the third shooting incident in about a year in that area one death...maybe cops should spend more time in that area instead of sitting around the corner at Pennys Flowers and the 711 gas station watching people leave Plush and Keswick Tavern

I have lived here in North Hills for almost 2 years and this is actually the 4th shooting I agree with Van. More police need to be around the area with all the bars and things go on around here, they wouldn't happen if we had more police in the area

Take the easy way out - for about $20 plus or minus with tip go to the Mexican guys in Quakertown.Read More They are on the south bound side where the old battery warehouse was - directly across from the big car wash on 309. They did my SUV for $25 including generous tip - inside and out, dressed the tires and did the windshield about 3 times! These guys are fantastic and really do a great job for the money.
