An Abington woman was charged with disorderly conduct after she allegedly threw her shoes and glasses at a hotel staff member, hitting him, during an altercation at the Fort Washington Holiday Inn, according to a Whitemarsh police report.
Police responded to the hotel around 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 12 where staff told them that Josephine Palombo, of 1236 Wheatsheaf Lane, had been creating a disturbance, said police. A staff member told police that Palombo had become angry when she was denied a room because she did not have the means to pay for it, according to police.
The staff member told police that Palombo refused to leave and threw her shoes and glasses at a staff member, who was across a counter, and the items struck him, per the report. Staff told the officer that there is video of the incident, which staff could not access at the time, said police.
According to court documents, Palombo is also charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, and harassment - subject other to physical contact.
