Pioneer Chief Gives 50

The Jenkintown Fire Chief is recognized for giving half a century of service.

Jenkintown Borough Council honored Pioneer Fire Co. Chief Gary Bachman for his 50 years of service with the Pioneer Fire Co. — including 35 years as chief — at its regular meeting late last month.

Bachman also received commendations from U.S. Rep. Allyson Schwartz, State Rep. Stephen McCarter, and Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett

Representatives from Pioneer Fire Co., Independent Fire Co., Rep. McCarter's office, and family members were on hand to recognize Bachman for this accomplishment.
