Philly Man Arrested Twice in Five Days on Separate Drug Charges

In both incidents, police say the man was driving without insurance.

Abington Police arrested a man on drug charges late last month following a traffic stop. They also arrested him five days earlier … following a traffic stop.

Aaron J. White, 30, of Disston Street, Philadelphia, was arrested July 30 at about 7:15 p.m. following a traffic stop in the 200 block of Township Line Road for having expired and suspended registration due to insurance cancellation, police said; his license was also suspended.

According to police, there was an odor of raw marijuana emanating from the vehicle. After police seized the vehicle’s plate, police found drug paraphernalia, including rolling papers, cigars and a grinder with suspected marijuana residue, in the vehicle. Police also found a duffel bag in the trunk that contained a large amount of suspected marijuana.

White also had two cell phones and more than $2,200 in his possession, police said.

White was charged with marijuana possession, and possession with intent to deliver — a felony.

On July 25, White was arrested following a traffic stop for expired and suspended registration, expired inspection and driving on a suspended license as he drove northbound on Old York Road near Guernsey Avenue shortly after 8 p.m.

According to police, White’s vehicle smelled of marijuana. Following a search of White’s black Infiniti, police found two sandwich-style bags containing suspected marijuana; a fake Red Bull can that contained a hidden compartment that contained suspected marijuana residue; and an open bottle of Corona on the driver’s side floor.

White’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for the morning of Aug. 13 in front of District Justice Juanita Price.
