Cheltenham PD Helps Shooting Victim: Report

Cheltenham Police helped a New Jersey man get to Abington Memorial Hospital after he was shot early New Year’s Day at a club in northeast Philadelphia, according to a story on Montgomerynews.com.

According to the story, Cheltenham Police pulled over a car after it blew a red light in the corner of Limekiln Pike and Greenwood Avenue; the driver and front-seat passenger said they were looking for a hospital to treat back-seat passenger Joel Cepeda, 34, of Magnolia, N.J., who had been shot in the hip.

Cheltenham EMS transported the man to the hospital.

The shooting took place at La Tambora Café and Nightclub, in the 700 block of Adams Avenue, according to the story.
