Abington Woman Arrested on Drug Charges at Hotel

Another woman was arrested for having an outstanding warrant out of Abington.

Whitemarsh Police arrested an Abington woman and cited three others, following a "suspicious activity" call at the Fort Washington Holiday Inn.

Megan Maria Vickers, 25, of the 300 block of Hamel Avenue, Glenside, was arrested Aug. 26 at about 3:45 p.m. after police found drug paraphernalia and “a few partially filled heroin packets” in the room she was renting, police said.

According to police, hotel management said for the past couple of weeks, people were seen sitting in the hotel lobby at various times during the day; a woman would then lead them to a room that was rented by Vickers.

Outside the rented hotel room, there were several used heroin baggies in two small, clear trash bags, police said; the room also smelled of burnt marijuana. According to police, a check of the room revealed several empty heroin packets in a trash can; a pink bag containing several needles and the partially filled heroin packets; and two marijuana smoking bowls.

Vickers was arrested and charged with using and possessing drug paraphernalia; three others in the room, Alex Itty Abraham, 25, of Dresher; Samantha Antrim, 19, of Philadelphia; and Tory Andre Manns, 37, of Philadelphia, were cited for drug possession and disorderly conduct.

Antrim, who had an outstanding warrant out of Abington for drug charges, was also arrested.
