Abington Woman Accused of Stealing $25K Pleads Not Guilty

The office manager allegedly stole nearly $25,000 from an East Norriton doctor's office.

 

According to a report in the Times Herald, the Abington woman who allegedly stole $25,000 in deposits from a doctor's office in East Norriton between January and July. 

Megan Galo, 47, of the 1900 block of Moreland Road waived her Sept. 12 arraignment and remains free on $10,000 unsecured bail.

According to the report, an investigation began last month when East Norriton police responded to the Center for Advanced Orthopedics, in the 700 block of West Germantown Pike, for a report of a theft. A doctor reported Galo, an office manager, stole cash deposits totaling about $25,000 between Jan. 1 and July 9, according to the arrest affidavit. Galo allegedly did not return deposit receipts to the biller for cash or checks after repeated requests for them, the story continued.

Galo faces a possible maximum sentence of 14-28 years in prison if she’s convicted, according to the story.
