The Abington man had been arrested six times prior to being arrested in August.

A man who stole three PlayStation controllers from Target in the 1400 block of Old York Road in August — and fled on a bicycle — pleaded guilty to retail theft yesterday, according to a report in the Bucks County Courier Times.

Matthew Justin Phayre, 28, of the 1800 block of Eckard Avenue, Abington pleaded guilty to retail theft in Montgomery County Court and received three years’ probation and 36 hours of community service, according to the story. The incident happened Aug. 15. According to the story, Phayre was found on a bicycle just blocks from the store.

According to court documents, Phayre has been arrested six times in the past; he was most recently arrested in Abington in January 2011 on drug charges after he was allegedly found to have two bags of suspected heroin, two knives and a syringe in his possession.
