Abington police reports, Monday edition

The following police reports were taken from the records room Feb. 7

Retail theft … James Thomas Nedd, 64, of the 1700 block of North 31st Street, Philadelphia, was arrested Jan. 15 at 11:42 a.m. at Acme in the 300 block of Old York Road after he stole $118 worth of food including shrimp, ham, steaks and meatballs.

Simple assault and disorderly conduct … Sabrina M. Williams, 22, of the 4100 block of Longshore Avenue, Philadelphia, was arrested Jan. 19 at 10:56 a.m. at a business in the 200 block of Old York Road, police said. According to police, Williams, a former employee, returned to the business looking for a letter confirming her resignation and refused to leave. Williams began shouting obscenities and demanding her paycheck. According to the business’s manger, Williams was not given her paycheck because she is under a criminal investigation. Williams grabbed the victim’s arm, leaving bruises.

Simple assault … Dominque Watkins, 19, of the 1300 block of Osbourne Avenue, Roslyn, was arrested at her residence after she punched a victim 10 times in the back of the head, in the back and in the shoulders, police said. According to police, Watkins also kicked holes in the door and walls of the residence and was screaming and cursing.

Simple Assault …  An arrest warrant was issued Jan. 20 for Carl A. Willis, 24, of the 800 block of Easton Road, Glenside, after he assaulted a victim in a neighboring apartment and fled, police said. According to police, the victim had red marks and bruising on the victim’s arm.

Possession of a controlled substance and possession of an instrument of crime … Matthew Justin Phayre, 25, of the 1800 block of Eckard Avenue, Abington, was arrested Jan. 21 at 11:51 p.m. near the corner of Hilltop and Baeder roads following a pedestrian stop, police said. According to police, Phayre was seen crossing Old York Road and was almost struck by a vehicle. Phayre had two knives in his possession, as well as two heat-sealed bags containing suspected heroin and a syringe.

Retail theft … Jonathan Blake Dunston, 20, of the 2000 block of Mather Way, Elkins Park, was arrested Jan. 30 at 1:36 p.m. at Macy’s in Willow Grove Park mall after he concealed $198 worth of merchandise in a black backpack while in the fitting room, police said.

Retail theft … Vernon Lamont Wilson, 45, of the 4900 block of Kershaw Street, Philadelphia, was arrested Feb. 2 at 5:11 p.m. after he stole five bottles of men’s cologne worth a total of $202, and two watches of unknown value, from Kmart, police said. Wilson then fled and was seen running toward a bus stop near the corner of Moreland and Easton roads, police said.
