A handful of DUIs

 

DUI … Patricia Stubel, 57, of Jericho Road, Abington, was arrested Oct. 23 at 1:42 a.m. following a traffic stop near the corner of Easton Road and Mildred Avenue after she was seen swerving and touching the double yellow lines, police said. According to police, Stubel smelled moderately of alcohol and there was a strong smell of perfume emanating from the vehicle. There was a bottle of perfume in plain view, but Stubel denied recently spraying it. Stubel said she had two beers. She had bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. She failed two field sobriety tests and had a blood alcohol content of 0.165 percent, police said.

DUI … Tyrece Jamar Hughes, 28, of Fitzwatertown Road, Willow Grove, was arrested Oct. 21 at 7:04 p.m. following a traffic stop after he blew through a steady red light near the corner of Easton and Moreland roads, police said. According to police, Hughes smelled of alcohol, had glassy and bloodshot eyes and failed a field sobriety test. His blood alcohol content was 0.116 percent.

DUI … William G. Gebhardt, 38, of Martin Mills Road, Philadelphia, was arrested Oct. 20 following a traffic stop near the corner of Township Line and Valley Glen roads after he was seen driving a black Acura SUV with its undercarriage damaged and dragging on the road, police said. According to police, Gebhardt said he did not know that there was any damage to the vehicle. Gebhardt smelled strongly of alcohol, had very slow speech, failed a field sobriety test and refused a breath test. His blood alcohol content was 0.110 percent.

DUI and careless driving … Andrew James Heinz, 21, of Jarrett Road, Rockledge, was arrested Oct. 20 following a crash in the 300 block of Rolling Hill Road, police said. According to police, Heinz said he was reading a text message and suddenly began to drift when he crashed into another vehicle. Heinz smelled of alcohol, had bloodshot and glassy eyes and said that he had two beers four hours ago. He failed a field sobriety test and had a blood alcohol content of 0.095 percent.
