Some hidden weed, a DUI and an illicit .22

 

Criminal mischief and disorderly conduct … An arrest warrant was issued Dec. 30 for Wayne B. Bickel, 22, of Wanamaker Road, Jenkintown, after a witness said he saw Bickel vandalizing his friend’s Audi in the 400 block of Tulpehocken Avenue on Dec. 24, police said. According to police, the witness said he saw Bickel jumping on top of the car and kicking the car on all sides. There were several dents on the car and the car’s roof was caved in. Damage likely exceeded $1,000, police said.

Carrying firearms without a license … Anissa M. Hamilton, 27, of Comly Street, Philadelphia, was arrested Dec. 29 at 6:55 a.m. after she blew a red light in the corner of Highland Avenue and Susquehanna Road, police said. According to police, the car, a blue Monte Carlo, smelled of marijuana and there were cigar guts scattered on the rear floor of the vehicle.

Police found a Rohm RG24 .22-cal. handgun in the center console; its serial number was not registered, police said. Hamilton does not have a license to carry and the gun was loaded with five bullets in the cylinder, police said. 

Retail theft … Rahmid Naru Trotman, 22, of Cedarbrook Avenue, Philadelphia, was arrested Dec. 26 at 5:56 p.m. after a Macy’s loss prevention officer saw Trotman, a Macy’s employee, print a ticket for a Ralph Lauren sweater indicating that it cost $30 instead of $189, police said. According to police, Trotman then unsuccessfully tried to purchase the sweater from fellow employees on two separate occasions. A third clerk ultimately sold Trotman the sweater; Trotman admitted to the theft, police said.

Retail theft … Wayne Antonio Irving, 36, of Granite Street, Philadelphia, was arrested Dec. 24 at 4:18 p.m. after he was chased out of Bloomingdale’s in Willow Grove Park mall for stealing a $200 pair of jeans, police said. According to police, he was caught in the parking lot between Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s. Irving threw the bag, which contained the stolen jeans, in some bushes near the Bloomingdale’s loading dock, police said.

Forgery and bad checks … Celeste Cornelia Paige, 54, of Palm Street, Newark, N.J., was arrested Dec. 24 at 11:34 a.m. at Susquehanna Bank in the 200 block of Keswick Avenue after she attempted to cash a stolen check worth $3,100, police said. According to police, Paige was found in possession of the stolen Quinn and Wilson check; Paige was also in possession of a fake Ohio driver’s license and a Capital One Visa card, both of which had a name different from hers.

DUI, possession of a small amount of marijuana and careless driving … Michael J. McCormick, 42, was arrested Dec. 12 at 7:49 p.m. after he swerved onto a lawn in the 1000 block of Tyson Avenue in a green Toyota, police said. According to police, a records check indicated that McCormick had a suspended license. He was ultimately stopped near the corner of Bradfield Road and Lafayette Avenue.

There was a strong odor of alcohol coming from McCormick’s vehicle. McCormick had glassy and bloodshot eyes. When asked if he had any contraband in his possession, McCormick said, “I got two quarters down my pants,” and “There’s some bud in the visor.” Police found confirmed marijuana in his underwear. McCormick had a blood alcohol content of 0.159 percent and his blood tested positive for the presence of THC, police said.
