Abington Police Reports, Aug. 29

The following reports were taken from the Abington Police records room Aug. 29

DUI … Steven Golaski, 25, of the 300 block of Elmhurst Avenue, Sellersville, was arrested July 8 at 11:25 p.m. following a traffic stop near the corner of Easton and Moreland roads for swerving and for driving straight through a left-turn only lane, police said. When asked if he had been drinking, he said, “Yeah a few.” According to police, Golaski failed two field sobriety tests and had a blood alcohol content of 0.179 percent.

DUI … Christopher Rob Corvino 24, of the 400 block of Newton Road, Hatboro, was arrested July 15 at 12:39 a.m. following a traffic stop near the corner of Easton and Old Welsh roads for swerving over the center dividing lines, police said. According to police, Corvino had slurred speech and his vehicle smelled of burnt marijuana. Corvino had difficult answering questions and admitted to smoking marijuana about an hour before driving. He failed two field sobriety tests and a blood test revealed the presence of marijuana.

DUI … Paul Kosiek, 39, of the 1200 block of Hale Street, Philadelphia, was arrested Aug. 6 at 2:13 a.m. following a traffic stop for swerving and for having flickering taillights, police said. According to police, Kosiek smelled of alcohol, had slurred speech and was very unsteady on his feel. Kosiek failed two field sobriety tests and refused a portable breath test and refused a blood test, police said.

Simple assault, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest … David M. Lobb, 27, of the 400 block of Linden Avenue, Glenside, was arrested Aug. 14 at 7:23 p.m. following reports of an unwanted person in the 400 block of Linden Avenue, police said. According to police, Lobb was belligerent to police and did not comply with commands. He grabbed an officer’s arm and violently pulled the officer to the ground and began grappling with the officer, according to police. Lobb was Tasered a short time later.

Forgery and bad checks … Christin Shanta Jones, 23, of the 4500 block of North Uber Street, Philadelphia, was arrested Aug. 15 at 12:30 p.m. at TD Bank in the 1400 block of Old York Road after she attempted to pass a check for $300, police said. According to police, Jones stole the check, wrote it out to herself and forged the account holder’s signature. Jones admitted to stealing the check. In her purse, police found two stolen Citizen Bank checks belonging to another victim.
