Retail theft … Atticus Weaver, 20, of Guernsey Avenue, Abington, was arrested Nov. 8 at 5:30 p.m. at Giant on Susquehanna Road after a Giant loss prevention officer saw Weaver conceal three boxes of cough syrup, worth a total of $12, in his jacket, police said. He was also arrested in August for stealing a bottle of cough syrup from the same store. According to police, Weaver has one prior conviction for retail theft.

DUI and careless driving … Rachael Costello, 31, of Linden Avenue, Southampton, was arrested Oct. 3 at 2:28 a.m. following a traffic stop after she collided with several bushes near the Rydal Train Station in her white GMC Envoy, police said. According to police, Costello was sliding and fishtailing on the wet road. When police activated their lights, Costello put the car in reverse, backed out of the bushes and continued on Washington Lane. Costello smelled strongly of alcohol, had watery eyes and said she was following her friend Bob, but did not know the destination. She failed a field sobriety test, had a blood alcohol content of 0.213 percent and her blood tested positive for the presence of oxycodone, police said.

DUI … William Edwin Randall, 60, of Limekiln Pike, Glenside, was arrested Sept. 16 at 7:57 p.m. near Wharton Road and Abington Avenue after he struck a pedestrian in the roadway, police said. According to police, Randall said he was driving down the road, stopped at the stop sign and continued through when he hit a man walking in front of him. Randall smelled of alcohol and said he had three or four beers at the Edge Hill Tavern earlier while watching the Eagles game. Randall had thick, slurred speech, swayed as he stood up and his blood alcohol content was 0.209 percent.

DUI … Thomas Owens, 54, of Bustleton Avenue, Philadelphia, was arrested Sept. 13 at 11:19 a.m. following a traffic stop for having heavily tinted windows near the corner of Old York Road and Butler Avenue, police said. According to police, Owens failed three field sobriety tests and his blood tested positive for the presence of clonazepam, diazepam and nordiazepam.

DUI … Sharon Sinclair, 40, of Ferndale Avenue, Abington, was arrested Aug. 15 at 4:03 a.m. following a traffic stop near Limekiln Pike and Chelsea Avenue for making a wide right turn and for not signaling while driving through portions of Ardsley, police said. According to police, there was a strong odor of alcohol emanating from the vehicle. Sinclair said she had one Mike’s Hard Lemonade at the Roslyn VFW earlier. She failed a field sobriety test; Sinclair had a blood alcohol content of 0.10 percent and her blood tested positive for the presence of Delta-9 THC, police said.
