Retail theft … Hanane Elhafid, 31, of North Line Street, Lansdale, was arrested Jan. 22 at 12:56 p.m. after a Macy’s loss prevention officer saw her via closed-circuit TV attempt to leave the store with $449 worth of merchandise, police said.

Retail theft … Noni Rhakita Roberson, 37, of Rothley Avenue, Willow Grove, was arrested Jan. 13 at Giant on Susquehanna Road after a Giant loss prevention officer saw her put two pill bottles in her purse and attempt to leave without paying, police said.

DUI and careless driving … Consuella Teresa Folger, 42, of Old Welsh Road, Willow Grove, was arrested Jan. 7 at 4 a.m. in the 900 block of Old York Road after she had to be boxed in by two police vehicles, police said. According to police, Folger blew a red light in the corner of Township Line and Old York roads and did not pull over for police. Folger was disheveled and disoriented. She said she didn’t know why she didn’t stop. Folger’s blood alcohol content was 0.187 percent.

DUI … Richard M. Dembinski, 61, of Harmony Road, Levittown, was arrested Dec. 16 at 2:37 p.m. following a crash near the corner of Meetinghouse and Beverly roads, police said. According to police, a witness saw Dembinski rolling around on the ground. Dembinski said he hit a pothole and there was heavy damage to his vehicle’s wheel. Dembinski had slurred speech and trouble keeping his balance, police said. Dembinski refused to take a field sobriety test and said, “I’m going to fail.” His blood alcohol content was 0.207 percent.

DUI … Anibal Ramos Miranda, 60, of Sunshine Road, Southampton, was arrested Jan. 1 at 10:22 p.m. after he blew a red light while traveling northbound on Huntingdon Pike near Rockledge Avenue, police said. According to police, Miranda smelled of alcohol, had bloodshot eyes and failed several field sobriety tests. Miranda’s blood alcohol content was 0.135 percent.

DUI … Ronald Bryan Silverstein, 50, of Rosemore Avenue, Glenside, was arrested Jan. 1 at 2:39 a.m. following a traffic stop for not signaling and for almost striking the curb near the corner of Keswick and Sylvania avenues, police said; he was also driving through snow banks. Silverstein apologized for his bad driving and said, “You got me,” and “I’ll make it easy on you. I’m drunk, really drunk.” Silverstein smelled of alcohol, had slurred speech and a blood alcohol content of 0.207 percent. His blood also tested positive for the presence of Delta-9 THC, police said.

DUI and careless driving … Joseph F. Massino, 48, of Central Avenue, Glenside, was arrested Dec. 14 at 11:51 p.m. following a traffic stop after he almost struck a curb three times and drove over the center line on four occasions while driving westbound on Jenkintown Road near Cricket Avenue, police said. According to police, Massino had slurred speech and said that he was leaving a Christmas party at the VFW. Massino failed two field sobriety tests; his blood alcohol content was 0.198 percent and his blood tested positive for the presence of cocaine, police said.

DUI … William Garrett, 49, of North Wyomissing Avenue, Wyomissing, Pa., was arrested Nov. 22 at 12:25 a.m. following a traffic stop for driving with a malfunctioning tail lamp near the corner of Edge Hill and Keith roads, police said. According to police, Garrett smelled of alcohol, had bloodshot eyes and said that he had two beers earlier. There was a small plastic baggie purtruding from Garrett’s pants pockets that was later revealed to contain cocaine, police said. Garrett failed a field sobriety test and his blood alcohol content was 0.084 percent.
