DUI … Wilmer J. Gomez Ramos, 40, of Keswick Avenue, Glenside, was arrested June 8 at 11 p.m. after he was seen peeling out and squealing the tires of his Nissan Titan in the Plush parking lot; he also peeled out when he entered Keswick Avenue and fishtailed, which was very close to pedestrians, police said. According to police, there were several bags containing six-packs of beer in the vehicle, as well as two empty Corona bottles in the bed of the truck and a half-full Corona on the passenger side of the vehicle. Gomez Ramos had bloodshot eyes, smelled of alcohol and hit the curb as he attempted to pull over. He said he had five beers earlier and refused a portable breath test.

Retail theft … Alexander R. Wood, 28, of Fairview Avenue, Willow Grove, was arrested June 5 at 10:34 p.m. after he attempted to steal $318 worth of merchandise from Target in the 1400 block of Old York Road, police said. According to police, there is also video surveillance of Wood stealing a $150 Xbox Kinect from the store on May 27.

Retail theft … Alexis Camac, 20, of Old Dublin Pike, Doylestown; and Natalie Manley, 19, of Old Dublin Pike, Doylestown, were arrested May 21 at 7 p.m. after both defendants selected several pieces of merchandise at Macy’s in Willow Grove Park mall, entered a fitting room, and stuffed the merchandise in their purses, police said. According to police, Camac attempted to steal $173 worth of merchandise; Manley attempted to steal $225 worth of merchandise.

Possession of a small amount of marijuana … Devin Leonard Ray, 25, of Glenn Circle, Erdenheim, was arrested May 11 at 12:18 a.m. after he was seen sitting in a parked, blue Chevrolet Blazer in the parking lot of the 19th Hole Lounge on Jenkintown Road, police said. According to police, there was loose marijuana on the passenger seat of the vehicle as well as a marijuana grinder. The vehicle smelled of raw marijuana. Following a search, police found three bags of confirmed marijuana, totaling 17.63 grams, police said.

DUI … Brendan Rusden, 19, of County Line Road, Philadelphia, was arrested April 28 at 2:31 a.m. after police found Rusden slumped over the steering wheel in his vehicle which was running but stopped in the corner of Old York Road and The Fairway, police said. According to police, several attempts were made to wake up Rusden. Police ultimately entered the vehicle by using a vehicle lockout tool. Rusden smelled of alcohol and failed a field sobriety test. In his backpack were seven unopened Bud Light beers, and an unopened Twisted Tea. Rusden, who said he had five beers earlier, had a blood alcohol content of 0.129 percent.

Possession of a controlled substance … Rasheed Jamar Basketbill, 21, of Washington Avenue, Willow Grove; and Dondre Ziar Lee-Grasty, 19, of Washington Avenue, Willow Grove, were arrested April 25 at 3:52 p.m. following a traffic stop for having tinted windows near the corner of Prospect and Decatur avenues; Basketbill was the driver and Lee-Grasty was the passenger, police said. According to police, there was a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. When police asked for permission to search the vehicle, Basketbill declined. The car was impounded. After police obtained a search warrant, they found a bag of confirmed marijuana in the back seat of the car.

Possession of a controlled substance and suspected DUI … Maria Lynch, 22, of Gwynedd View Road, North Wales, was arrested April 12 at 8:50 p.m. following a traffic stop in the corner of Old York and Susquehanna roads for driving without her car’s headlights on, police said. According to police, in plain view were two Ziploc bags near the driver’s side door handle. Following a search, police found nine hypodermic needles; two silver spoons; one plastic spoon; 11 empty blue wax bags labeled “Happy Face;” and four “Happy Face” bags containing a solid, tan substance later confirmed as heroin. Lynch had trouble maintaining her balance and almost fell over when she exited her vehicle; she refused a blood test.
