Abington Police Arrest Alleged Robber Fleeing from Hatboro

The Philadelphia man robbed his ex-girlfriend, and headed southbound on Old York Road, according to police.

Abington Police arrested a man who allegedly robbed his ex-girlfriend in Hatboro and then fled.

Dominic Akeem Moore, of the 1100 block of Rosalie Street, Philadelphia, was arrested Sunday and charged with robbery, simple assault and related charges stemming from an incident in which he allegedly forced his way inside his ex-girlfriend’s North York Road apartment shortly before 8:30 p.m.

According to police, Moore, 22, hit the victim in the head with a handgun and stole her phone and wallet; he then fled southbound on York Road in a black Nissan Maxima and was subsequently stopped by Abington Police. The victim’s phone was recovered from the vehicle, police said.

The victim, a 19-year-old woman, was treated at Abington Memorial Hospital and released.

Moore does not appear to have a criminal history; his preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 23 at 9 a.m. before District Justice Paul Leo.
