One Pennsylvania man should have used more caution when changing lanes Friday.
Casey Sharp Ward, 21, of various addresses in Montgomery and Delaware counties of Pennsylvania, was stopped in El Reno, Oklahoma after a Canadian County deputy sheriff noticed him change lanes without a signal.
That wasn't all he noticed.
"When the deputy approached the car, he smelled the strong odor of marijuana," according to a report from NewsOn9.com.
With that suspicion in mind, the deputy called in a drug-sniffing dog. Before long, 28 pounds of marijuana was found in Ward's vehicle's trunk.
Sheriff Randall Edwards told KFOR local television news, "It didn’t take a whole lot of investigating once the deputies smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle."
The Pennsylvania man was, according to Channel 6 Oklahoma's Own, charged with "marijuana trafficking, conspiracy to commit a felony, and concealing drug proceeds."
Plus, it is against Federal law, for any state.. When people are going overboard with there growing of it, the Feds step in and stop it. The purpose of legalizing marijuana is so people with cancer can still eat. Without marijuana, people with cancer cannot eat without getting sick. I do not eat or grow the stuff. It has raised crime in CA.
First off, marijuana is NOT legal in CA on the state level. It is decriminalized (different than legalization) and only legal for medical patients. The medical and decriminalized legal and political structures in CA are not even close to those of full-blown legalization such as in CO or WA. But, as if the lack of knowledge of the cannabis situation in your own state (I live in PA, mind you) doesn't already invalidate your claim, please elaborate on how pot has raised crime in CA.
Tobacco is a plant, too. That does make it good for you. There are poisonous plants, like poison oak or poison ivy.
