Mary E. Wasikonis, (née Ryan), of Buckingham, died Monday, Sept. 23 in The Solana in North Wales. She was 89.
Born in Philadelphia, she lived in Buckingham for seven years and lived in Glenside for 24 years.
She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Buckingham and was a former member of St. Luke the Evangelist Church and the church’s senior citizen’s club in Glenside.
Wasikonis was the widow of John M. Wasikonis; mother of Mary A. Swanson; John T. Wasikonis; Mark J. Wasikonis; sister of Catherine Wheeler, Martin Ryan and the late Joseph and Thomas Ryan, and Anna Procopio; and the grandmother of Jamie, Mark, Stefanie, Taylor, Matthew and Adalee; and the great-grandmother of Keeran and Eleanor.
A funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 5175 Cold Spring Creamery Road, Doylestown, on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Cheltenham.
Arrangements are by the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home.
