Jane Schreiber, Frankford High School Grad, of Abington

Jane Schreiber of Abington, died Saturday, Nov. 2, at Abington Memorial Hospital. She was 83.

Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Elsie Dougherty (née Tilsner). She was the wife of 62 years of George Schreiber Jr.; mother of George C., James R., and John E. Schreiber; grandmother of eight and the great-grandmother of four.

Schreiber was a 1948 graduate of Frankford High School where she finished second in her class. She started her working career as a secretary for the Philadelphia School District before working as a secretary at the Budd Co.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 501 Easton Road, Willow Grove. Her graveside service will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown.

Religious services will be conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Barkley from Willow Grove Bible Church of The Christian and Missionary Alliance, 212 Everett Ave., Willow Grove.
